Career College Central To Cover Negotiated Rulemaking Next Week

September 4, 2013

Article Overview:
Career College Central will be in Washington next week to cover the Negotiated Rulemaking sessions focused on the "gainful employment" rule.

Next week, the Department of Education will begin a stand-alone round of negotiated rulemaking on "gainful employment" regulations. Despite its original attempt being struck down by a federal judge, the department is pursuing a new set of regulations that some are calling a "leaner and meaner" version of the rule.

Career College Central will be in Washington to cover the three sessions that will be held Sept. 9-11. Editor Kevin Kuzma will be posting social media updates to Twitter and Facebook throughout the conversations.

The meetings will be held at the U.S. Department of Education at 1990 K Street N.W., Eighth Floor Conference Center, Washington, DC 20006. They will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern on the first two days, and 9 a.m. to noon Eastern on the last day.
